This part is crucial to set up, and thankfully really quick and simple!
You can do this via your phone or tablet, or via your main desktop or laptop.
Once you have this set up, every time you record an activity in Strava you will earn the calories back in MyFitnessPal.
The more exercise you do, the more you will earn back, and the more you can eat without worrying about it.
- Visit www.strava.com and log in
- Find the “Settings” link
- Look for the “Social Connections” section, and choose to Connect with MyFitnessPal
When you click the “Connect with MyFitnessPal” link, the MFP site will load up, and ask you to log in. Enter your username and password, and log in. You will then be returned to Strava and hopefully will see this success message.
That’s it!
You don’t need to do anything else. Now, every time you do an activity, your calories burned will be entered into MFP as if by magic, and your daily allowance will have been updated accordingly.
So hopefully you can see how this sets up the “game” whereby you can earn more calories to eat simply by doing more exercise.
This will set you on a very positive path towards losing the weight you want to lose, and getting fitter and faster on the bike at the same time!
Incidentally, you can review all of your connected services from the “My Apps” link, and revoke access later if you choose.
